Susan Meachum, who says she relies on Social Security, told ABC News she will "lose everything" if the debt limit isn't raised. Gridlock in Washington over raising the debt ceiling threatens to disrupt payments to millions of Americans who rely on government benefits each month. While Republicans have insisted Title 42 should remain in place as a means of handling the record numbers , mounting evidence indicates the protocols actually contribute to that very issue.
